Mehmet Sağbaş, 1977 Rize doğumlu. İlk, orta ve liseyi Rize’nin Pazar ilçesinde tamamladı. 1995 yılından itibaren İ.T.Ü. Elektrik-Elektronik Fakültesi Elektronik ve Haberleşme Mühendisliği Bölümünü okumak için İstanbul’da yaşamaya başladı. 2007 yılında Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümünde doktorasını bitirdi. 2007 yılından itibaren Maltepe Üniversitesi Mühendislik fakültesinde öğretim üyesi yardımcı doçent olarak görev yapmaktadır. 2006 yılında Artforum Ankara Sanat Fuarı katılmıştır. Yine 2006 yılında Beyoğlu Belediyesi Sokak Sergisi, sırasıyla 2007 ve 2008 yılında Kültür Bakanlığı 7. Şefik Bursalı Resim Yarışma ve 34. DYO resim yarışması sergilerine katılmıştır. 2006 yılında Artforum Art Genç Sanatçılar resim yarışmasında mansiyon, 2007 yılında Kültür Bakanlığı 7. Şefik Bursalı, ve Ümraniye Belediyesi resim yarışması sergileme ödülü kazanmıştı. Yine 2009 yılında TJK resim yarışmasında mansiyon ödülüne layık görüldü.
